GN SO2 Socket is an open type socket manufactured according to US Federal Spec RR-5-550D, type A. Available in painted or galvanized finish, it features a Non-Rotating System (NRS) to prevent the rope end from turning or slipping out of the cone, ensuring a high-performance connection.
Applications include lifting, anchoring systems, oil platform cables, towing cables, and construction purposes such as bridges and roof structures. When properly assembled, the socket meets at least the breaking strength of the wire rope.
