The SO3 wedge socket is an open design made from cast steel with a safety factor of 5 times. Manufactured according to US Federal Spec RR-5-550D, type B, and available in galvanized or painted finish. Polar rated for temperatures from -40 °C to +200 °C.
Applications include lifting, rigging, anchoring, towing, and construction, such as bridges and roofs. When correctly installed, the breaking strength of the wire rope is reduced by 20%.
The wedge socket is supplied with a bolt, nut, and cotter pin, but can also be supplied with a bolt and cotter pin upon request.
