Line-throwing device, single shot - Comet

The Comet linethrower is a self‑contained line‑throwing appliance consisting of a weatherproof plastic casing, end cap, twist‑grip trigger, rocket and line. A solid propellant ensures a stable and highly accurate flight path.

To comply with SOLAS requirements, four complete rocket‑and‑line units must be carried onboard. The device is engineered for easy operation in severe weather and can be used in any situation requiring fast and precise line transfer.

Applications:

• All ship‑to‑ship line throwing
• Ship‑to‑shore and shore‑to‑ship operations
• Rescue of persons in the water
• Carrying lines across obstacles or rough terrain
• Professional and rescue‑service use

Storage: Ideally stored in a water‑resistant locker with easy emergency access. Sets of four can be positioned strategically around the vessel.

Product Life:

• Body and line kit: 9 years
• Rocket: 3 years (spare rockets available)

Operation:

1. Remove the front cover and aim in the desired direction.
2. Pull out the safety pin.
3. Aim slightly above the target and prepare for recoil.
4. Turn the grip left or right to fire.
5. In case of misfire, keep the unit aimed for at least 60 seconds, then discard overboard.
