The Daniamant L160 is an upgraded lifebuoy light replacing the established L41B and L120 models. Fully compliant with SOLAS/MED standards, it features an integrated lithium manganese dioxide battery requiring no maintenance during its 5‑year life.
The light delivers a minimum of 2 candela output and at least 2 hours of operation, meeting IMO SOLAS requirements. Designed to withstand harsh marine conditions, the L160 has passed a 76‑metre drop test and provides strong visibility through a clear lens with a yellow flashing LED.
Activation is automatic via pull‑cord, and the unit is designed to be mounted using a dedicated mounting plate. It is exempt from Class 9 transport requirements and approved by major authorities including Transport Canada, USCG, MED (Ships Wheel), and MER (Red Ensign).
