The DAN W‑4 is a SOLAS‑approved water‑activated light powered by alkaline batteries, designed for use on life jackets, flotation vests and survival suits. The light automatically activates upon contact with water, improving visibility in emergency situations.
It is compatible with Regatta products equipped with a dedicated light attachment and offers a service life of up to 5 years. The expiry date is clearly marked on the product.
The light requires technical inspection and should be checked during annual life jacket inspections. Functional testing is performed by short‑circuiting the battery terminals for a minimum of 5 seconds. Alkaline batteries have fewer transport restrictions and are considered more environmentally friendly than lithium batteries.
