The Talurit® T-ferrule is the original in mechanical splicing and has laid the grounds for the European standard. Nowadays, the T-ferrule corresponds to the European standard (FSET) for turnback ferrule or ferrule-secured eye termination. The ferrule is according to EN 13411-3 standard and is produced from seamfree extrusions which are extruded seamlessly over a mandrel and the aluminium alloy is AW-5051A according to EN 573-3.
The T-ferrule is for usage on wire ropes with a maximum tensile grade up to 1960 while the TS (shorter version) is for tensile grade up to 1770. For applications above 2160, T-LOC™ must be used together with the T-ferrule
